Our traditional funerals are arranged with care, compassion and attention to the wishes of each family, allowing time and space to create a meaningful service.

A Personal and Bespoke Funeral Service

Our Traditional and Bespoke funerals are provided to allow you to fully personalise the funeral service to the individual.

This can include the type of hearse used, personalised Orders of Service, a Willow coffin to name a few.

Our trained staff will sit down and go through all the options available to you. As each funeral is tailored to an individual family’s requirements, there is no set price. Every traditional funeral service is arranged around the wishes, beliefs and preferences of the person being remembered and their loved ones.

Families may wish to include personal music selections, floral tributes, meaningful readings or special transport arrangements. Whether you are arranging a traditional cremation or a traditional burial, we will help create a respectful and fitting farewell.

What Is Included Within a Traditional Funeral?

An example of a traditional cremation funeral at Gornal or Stourbridge Crematorium is detailed below.

Included within our professional services:

• Our professional services, completion of all legal paperwork required for cremation and our attendance on the day of the funeral
• Conveyance of the deceased into our care
• An Oak Veneered coffin suitable for cremation
• Deceased dressed in their own clothes or shroud
• Chapel of Rest available during office working hours
• Our Mercedes Hearse and One Limousine leaving from an address of the family’s choice
• Provision of a personalised Donation Box
• Collection of ashes from the crematorium during office hours

These arrangements can also be adapted for families choosing a traditional burial service.

Disbursements and Example Funeral Costs

As each funeral is personal to the family, costs will vary depending on the arrangements chosen. The following example provides guidance for a traditional funeral service held at Gornal or Stourbridge Crematorium.

• Crematorium fee – £1064
• Minister/Celebrant/Humanist fee approximately – £225
• 50 copies, 4 page Order of Service – £118
• 3ft Rose & Eryngium Spray – £145

Total Price: £4452

A payment to cover the disbursements will be asked for before the funeral. The balance of the account will be sent approximately one week after the funeral date.
