Formally known as Dainty & Downing, in 2020 following an extensive refurbishment, the premises were renamed J. R. Jones & Co. (Dudley) to bring it in line with our other funeral home of the same name in Gornal.
G. S. Dainty and Sons were acquired in 2007 and merged with our existing office in Kates Hill called ‘John Downing’ to call the business ‘Dainty & Downing’. The office on St Johns Road was closed and relocated to 89 Dixon’s Green Road; G S Dainty’s existing property. Following our recent refurbishment, there is now a comfortable arranging office for families to meet and discuss their requirements along with two large chapels of rest which can be used to hold small funeral services if required. We also have plenty of onsite parking available for visitors.
Our branch on Castle Street provides a calm and private setting where families can talk through arrangements in comfort and confidence. We know how important it is to have space to reflect and make decisions without pressure.
