What Is an Unattended Direct Funeral?

An Unattended Direct Funeral is a simple and cost-effective funeral provided by N E Downing.

The crematorium and date/time of cremation is at our discretion. There is no service as such and no one is able to attend the crematorium, so it is an unattended cremation. The cremated remains will be returned to you in the container the crematorium provides.

This option is sometimes chosen by individuals looking into prearranged funeral arrangements or families seeking a simple alternative to a traditional funeral service.

Some people may also refer to these arrangements as pure funeral plans or funeral plans pure cremation, where simplicity and practicality are the main considerations.

What Is Included Within the Funeral?

The cremation fees of £1645.00 include:

• Completion of all legal paperwork required for cremation
• A simple coffin suitable for cremation
• Conveyance of the deceased into our care
• Transporting the deceased to the crematorium of our choosing
• Cremation Fee
• Collection of ashes from the crematorium

Should you wish for the deceased to be dressed in their own clothes and visit our Chapel of Rest, there will be an additional fee of £100.

Fixed Price and Payment Information

This is all done for a fixed price of £1645.00.

Payment for this is required in full before the funeral takes place.
